What Happens After You Report?

Telimize reviews abuse reports involving telephone numbers and communications associated with its network.

Because Telimize operates primarily as a wholesale communications provider, a telephone number on our network may be provisioned to a wholesale customer or another downstream service provider. As a result, Telimize may not have direct visibility into the ultimate end user or subscriber associated with a particular number.

If you receive a suspicious call:

  • Do not provide passwords, PINs, verification codes, or financial information.
  • Do not provide remote access to your computer or phone.
  • Do not transfer money because a caller demands immediate payment.
  • Do not click links or open unexpected attachments.
  • Do not call back using a number provided by the suspicious caller.
  • Independently verify the organization using a trusted website or phone number.
  • Preserve the call details, messages, screenshots, and other evidence.

Protect Yourself From Common Scams

Understanding Telimize’s Role

Telimize LLC is primarily a wholesale telecommunications and interconnection provider. We provide network connectivity, numbering, routing, and related communications services to communications providers, CPaaS platforms, VoIP providers, and other businesses that incorporate telecommunications services into their own products and platforms.

In many cases, Telimize is not the service provider that communicates directly with the person receiving the call or message.

A telephone number may follow a service chain such as:

Because our wholesale customers may provide services to their own customers or may obtain additional telecommunications services from other providers, the wholesale customer is often the party best positioned to identify how a particular number is being used and who is responsible for the associated traffic.

As a result, reports submitted through this form may need to be forwarded to the applicable Telimize wholesale customer for investigation and appropriate action.

Telimize does not generally identify end users

Telimize does not ordinarily have a direct customer relationship with the end user receiving or originating a communication through a wholesale customer’s platform.

We also maintain customer and network information subject to applicable privacy, telecommunications, and legal requirements. We therefore cannot provide information concerning our wholesale customers or their customers unless disclosure is authorized or legally required.

Caller ID Spoofing

Scammers can manipulate or spoof caller ID information so that a call appears to originate from a different telephone number.

A reported telephone number therefore may not be the actual number used by the scammer.

For example, a fraudster may cause your phone to display:

  • A local telephone number
  • A number belonging to a legitimate business
  • A government agency’s telephone number
  • A bank or financial institution’s number
  • Another person’s telephone number
